Rhythm worksheets
Generate rhythm exercises for any common time signature, in crotchet and quaver (quarter and eighth) terms, then print.
What you can set
- Complete the bar: stars mark the missing notes
- Add the time signature: one to three short rhythms per line, each with one right answer
- Add the bar lines: notes spaced evenly so the bars do not show
- Rhythm equations: sums of notes and rests, answered on a line, as a note or as beats
- Note values from breves to hemidemisemiquavers, dotted notes, rests and triplets
- British names (crotchet, minim) or American names (quarter, half)

Common questions
- Can I choose which note values appear?
- Yes. Pick each value as a note, a rest or both, and every value you choose appears in the generated rhythm.
- Does it support compound time like 6/8?
- Yes, along with simple time signatures such as 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 3/2 and 4/2.
- Can I make rhythms for a percussion stave?
- Yes. Rhythms are drawn on a single line, like printed percussion music.
